Hello

I'm a Multi-Media Artist from Nashville, Tennessee, and a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. My favorite stories to tell are those of fictitious realism. A genre title I assign to stories which open a world with fictional elements while relating to proven sciences. I love these stories because they make you think about the possibility that it could be real.

Artist's Statement

I am a young professional who uses sequential storytelling to share beautiful stories through strong artwork and brilliant writing. My goal is to tell stories using this medium and others throughout my career of discovery. My primary mediums are Digital and Traditional, and I use pencil, pen, and basic inking methods. My goal is to release an original story through multiple installments across related mediums, such as Comics, Graphic Novels, Short films, and even further into simple games.

Sequential Storytelling allows the artist to explore their creativity, as a comic is unlike any still image or motion media. Instead, the artist uses stagnant imagery to display an ever-changing story. A unique combination creating attention-grabbing pressure and relief as a story unfolds. Some topics that frequently appear in my work are those of the physical manifestation of emotions. Whether through characters like in my story “Lurker” or using written movement in my “Painted Star.” I like telling gritty stories that challenge opinion and traditional thinking.

When people see my work, it makes them think. I want to allow people to explore ideas they may not have thought of, or challenge their opinions with opposite, but equally valid arguments. I want to create relatable characters who can be followed through life, as we learn from their mistakes, and interact with life in new ways.

As I continue my way through SCAD, I am learning. I will continue learning the fundamentals of my craft and chosen medium, embracing sequential storytelling even if the work isn't specifically a comic book.
